Keeping a list of things you need to accomplish by the end of the day minimizes the risk of you forgetting about them. This can be done in a variety of ways, depending on the task at hand and tools used in this regard. For instance, you can use TNT Post Its to create convenient sticky notes directly on the desktop.

The application lets you use its set of features right after setup is done, and it doesn’t take a lot of time. However, you need to make sure that .NET Framework is already on you PC for the application to work, even though it’s a default feature in modern Windows iterations.
At launch, a new tray icon is created, and is the place where the application spends most of its time. Right click to choose a new sticky note or a new task list
Note tha sticky notes will not auto-populate when starting the app after a shutdown but the task list has memory and will have all of your data that was not competed the last time the list was updated
Note that normal interaction via the left mouse button has no effect, but there is a menu which shows up on right click.
